At TDV Industries our motto is Textile Excellence, Interwoven with Sense, as we are convinced that textile solutions to meet your requirements and standards must be not only reliable (effective and long-lasting) but also safe (perfectly innocuous, with low environmental impact, high societal impact, and transparency as regards components and manufacturing processes).
Therefore quality, for us, is inseparable from CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). CSR is the responsibility companies bear for the effect they have (as a result of their decisions and activities) on society (humans + environment).
Agenda 21
In June 1992, at the Earth Summit held in Rio de Janeiro, more than 170 Heads of State agreed on an action for the 21st century, which was given the name Agenda 21. This action plan defined which themes (agriculture, dealing with poverty, environment, health, housing, marine, forest and mountain management…) would be addressed and how sustainable development should be implemented.
At origin an initiative of Governments, Authorities and various organizations, this five-year action plan was quickly adopted by Enterprise, which saw in it a marvelous way ahead for the formalization and management of CSR programmes (Corporate Social Responsibility). At TDV Industries we committed to our 3rd Agenda 21 in 2018. This is an entirely voluntary measure.
CSR Report
The CSR report exists to give a periodic account of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) actions and results. We have opted for an annual report. We do this voluntarily, without any legal obligation whatsoever (it is compulsory for publicly traded companies with a turnover of more than 100 M Euros or with more than 500 employees). TDV Industries, a pioneer in this matter, published its 11th CSR report In 2023.
Labels and Certifications
TDV Industries is labeled Oeko-Tex, GOTS (Global Organic, Textile Standard) and ECOCERT, Cotton Fairtrade Partner by Fairtrade (Max Havelaar), OFG (Origine France Garantie), and responds also to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standard.

Social and Societal Record
We wished to measure and demonstrate the economic performance of our industrial activity – and thus our socio-economic footprint – which is based 100% in the Mayenne, in France. Using accounting data cross-referenced with international databases, we established 20 performance indicators that cover everything from direct and indirect employment to our carbon emissions trajectory, and include such things as the financing of education, unemployment, and retirement.
Environmental Record
At TDV Industries, we were one of the first textile sector companies in the World – if not the 1st – to calculate and publicise the environmental footprint of every meter of fabric that we make.
To do this, we had a tailor-made calculator developed to allow us to model the footprint of all our references and thus draw up an environmental identity card for all the fabrics we produce. This identity card automatically figures on the technical datasheets supplied upon delivery of our fabrics. To ensure the most complete transparency possible, we have 6 self-imposed criteria: beyond the usual CO2 data, we have added water consumption, water eutrophication, aquatic ecotoxicity, depletion of non-renewable natural resources and consumption of non-renewable energy.
This tool shows very clearly the difference in impact between fabrics made in France and those made further afield, but also the difference between conventional and ethical products (organic cotton, Fairtrade cotton, recycled polyester, etc.). Please do contact our sales experts if you would like a demonstration.
